How much do you know about Bulgaria?

If you would like to know which time zone Bulgaria is in, or which countries it borders, or even about Bulgarian culture, it's all here for you.

Another way of learning more about the country is through the news. In 2006 we started collating news items that were specific to the property market in Bulgaria. This was a very successful excercise.

This year, 2007, we have introduced a partner website which focusses on property opportunities in the profit-rich Province of Dobrich. This site will carry all of the latest news from now on.

Who is buying Bulgarian Property, and where?

British people have purchased apartments on the popular Black Sea Coast and in the ski resorts of Bansko. These areas are highly sought after as they offer an opportunity to capitalise on the fast growing tourism.

Foreign nationals have also bought houses in the unspoilt rural villages. Property here is still relatively cheap still, and where high profits are almost certain to be achieved.

Land, as always, is at a premium close to the cities and coastal resorts. There is also alot of agricultural land for sale at this time, but you will need to check the local planning strategies to understand whether planning permissions are likely to be granted should you buy it.
